An Ulbricht globe is characterized by
its capability to distribute incoming light evenly by multi-reflection on the
interior area. The degree of illumination at any place inside the globe depends
on the illumination intensity alone, not on its direction or angle, which enables
a variety of applications in the optical sector.
For instance, this kind of device can measure the total illuminative achievement
of light sources like LEDs.
Moreover, an extremely even, diffuse illustration source can be realized, for
example for measuring light sensitivity and homogeneity of optical sensors like
CCD chips or sector photodiodes. Also, this kind of light source is ideal for
telecentric illustration systems.
We supply customer specific appended systems for different
applications, for example:
Telecentric illustration system for error analysis and
contour measurement of transparent tools.
